11.0 x86 64 with kde4. Anyone been successful in installing the novell client? If so, what did you do to get it installed? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Not yet, but I understand that a release is in the works. That's one of three components I'm waiting for. GroupWise and iFolder (that works with the enterprise server) are the other two. The Java GW client doesn't draw the window properly. I see on the beta.novell.com page there is a ncl sp1 for 10.3 but nothing for 11.0. Is this the release you are referring to? I tried to install this beta release and get dependency errors: #### YaST2 conflicts list - generated 2008-07-01 21:51:13 #### nothing provides libbfd-2.17.50.20070726-14.so()(64bit) needed by novell-xtier-base-3.1.6-7.x86_64 [ ] do not install pattern:novell-ncl-1.0.0-7.x86_64 #### YaST2 conflicts list END ### I have binutils-2.18 devel installed and still get this error. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

No, I'm referring to one that's in the works for 11.0. Information about this was apparently posted on one of the public openSUSE mailing lists. No date has been announced yet, but I'm told that it will be once it's determined. For those of us that really need to get the NCL 2 installed now on opensuse 11, here is a coolsolutions article on how to do it: http://www.novell.com/communities/node/5688/installing-novell-client-opensus... Notice this is the 10.2 NCL client and earlier in this post, i posted there is a 10.3 SP1 beta version available. I am going to try to install that version using the above instructions. Will post back -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

So, i did get the 10.2 ncl installed but again like Jim said there is no gui, no way to "login" or do anything related to the client. Also, it busted my x server. I could only login from the command screen and then had to startx. So, i just uninstalled. Has anyone gotten 10.2 client working on 11.0? Let me know what you did to get it working. I hate to wait until the ncl for 11.0 comes out (if it is anything like the ncl client from the past, it could take another 8 months to get it out)

The nwlogin command should work for logging in just fine. But why it caused problems with X for you, I'm not sure. I'll have to give the install a try myself on my 11 box this weekend.
