[opensuse] @opensuse email
Does anyone know how to use @opensuse email? 1) How do you determine what is the part before @opensuse? 2) How do you manage where the email is forwarded to? I've asked here before and also tried to email postmaster@ and never got an answer that works. Right now I try to send mail to joak0@opensuse joako@opensuse and always it bounces. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It's assigned to you.
2) How do you manage where the email is forwarded to?
AFAIR, it's setup once and that's it.

Turns out it's joako@opensuse I don't know how since my username is joak0 and so is my IRC cloak, but that's fine. I don't think I ever had tried joako@opensuse, but some kind person did and I saw the message arrive What I've done is add the admin@opensuse.org contact to the wiki here: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Members_mailaddress -- Med Vennlig Hilsen, A. I'm confused now. You are Andreas van dem Helge because his name seems to be connected to the username joak0? Wolfgang -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

You can setup the username yourself - and if you used a wrong one, you can change it. Talk with darix about this. It should be possible to change this in connect.opensuse.org

This is even better! Honestly I had read that wiki page many times before and it wasn't helpful. I see that "connect" is meant to allow social interaction: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Connect But is it being used that way yet? Is there a wiki entry / article somewhere that describes how openSUSE is actually using it? Thanks! When the page was written, connect.o.o was not used for the email address and apparently nobody updated it, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, Program Manager openSUSE, aj@{novell.com,opensuse.org} Twitter: jaegerandi | Identica: jaegerandi SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

You should be able to find your addresses in connect in your profile. Or do you mean actually your own addresses or someone else's? If talking for your own and you want to change the forwarding address you need to request at admin@opensuse.org Wolfgang -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
