every time i try to download any suse images by bittorrent (using the "official" .torrent files), i end up with seriously broken iso images that dont match the md5sums, and sometimes aren't even bootable. downloading the same images by ftp works. any other bittorrent transfers work just fine. any explanation? bye, MH -- gpg key fingerprint: 5F64 4C92 9B77 DE37 D184 C5F9 B013 44E7 27BD 763C -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

None that I can provide from this distance. You might try a different bit torrent client. I've had really good luck downloading ISO images from opensuse torrents, using Ktorrent 2.1 Beta1, which seems way faster than 1.x versions. -- _____________________________________ John Andersen

The test version is here- http://houghi.org/Fun/ file called- makeSUSEdvd.gz The author has asked for it to be tested and preliminary results show that it works OK. Note that it has more functions added to it but I don't know if they are described in that archive. Cheers. -- In a period of great joy and pleasure you are comforted by the thought that tragedy is just around the corner. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Hi All, Before I put a bug report in, Has anyone experience, intermittently, a rediculously slow text input in Kmail Work fine for about half a page of text input, then slows to about 1 char every 2 seconds, gradually catching up as the buffer fills. Sometimes it recovers. Its not the machine (Aww geez its just started doing now 8-(), cos' its a 2Ghz DC. Saving in drafts and then pulling the message back out to edit seems to reset the fault for a few more lines then it starts to do it again. This is on OpenSuse 10.1 on an IBM z61p Laptop. Thanks for any input on this...... (Get it 8-) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Before I put a bug report in,
Please repost your question in a *new* message, ie: do not change the subject of an existing message and post. This destroys threading. If you _must_ post in this manner, at lease remove the message headders, 'References:' and 'In-Reply-To:' so the new post will appear as a new thread. your attention to this small detail will be appreciated and will allow intelligent searching of the archives. thanks, -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I have experienced this repeatedly for the last couple of years. Finally got used to it. I believe it may be due to Kmail going off to poll it's mail pickup points and blocking the keyboard input while it is busy elsewhere. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
