[opensuse] CanoScan LiDE 30 downscaling scans
Hello, for some reason I still don't know, my scanner isn't scanning at 1:1 scale It's an (old) CanoScan LiDE 30, configured by YaST under OpenSuSE 11.0 using the plustek driver. Both xsane and kooka recognize the device too but both applications fail to get the current document size... instead of 1:1 it might perfectly be 1:3 or 1:4 ... Any ideas?? I have a Canon CanoScan LiDE 30 (using the plustek driver) and for me it worked in the past and works now. What do commannd line tools result? scanimage -L shows the SANE device, something like plustek:libusb:111:222 Use this in scanimage -d SANE_device -h to show the scanning parameters and their default values. In particular the default width of scan-area is 103mm and the default height of scan-area is 76.21mm for the plustek driver. Then scan a A4 page with scanimage -d SANE_device -x 210 -y 295 >/tmp/image.pnm and view the /tmp/image.pnm whether it looks o.k. If it looks o.k., the issue is somewhere in your scanning frontend applications (e.g. perhaps whatever further image data processing which results wrong dimensions)?
