Hello I am trying out using Windowmaker instead of KDE. The only thing that is missing but which I pretty much need is the ability to start a new session. I mean like the "start new session" button on the KMenu. Does anyone know of a script that could be used from Windowmaker? Or even how KDE does it - is there a program or script that gets called when that menu option is chosen? Thanks in advance Steve Dundee, UK

Steve, if you mean like having multiple desktops then you just "right" click, select Workspace -> Workspaces -> New. This is at least how its setup on my debian box, not sure about the suse menuing. Windowmaker has a fairly nice FAQ at http://www.windowmaker.org that you might also find useful. Regards, Dana

startx windowmaker -- :1 where :1 means the console accessible by ctrl+f8 (:2 would be f9, and so on). This works in 9.1. Adalberto On Wednesday 27 October 2004 17:35, steveoldmanse-suselinuxe@yahoo.co.uk wrote:
