Re: [SLE] local maildelivery problem
And... does loopback.mydomain exist? Is postfix really listening on that interface (check with postconf)? Firewall? Did you try to enable/disable spamassassin and/or amavis? More info would be seen in the previous or next line in the logs.
What's more: i'm looking at a tcpdump on all my interfaces and do see anything comming in on port 25... sending a mail from <root> to <user> via a telnet session works fine also...(and then i see everything in the tcpdump) really strange... wonder what i did wrong. I also copied the popstfix configuration from another pc on which there haven't been any changes. So now i should have defaults. So te problem is prehaps related to the mails that are in the queue? which process can i put in verbose mode that would be interesting? greetz, pieter _________________________________________________________________

If you have: mail.* -/var/log/mail in "/etc/syslog.conf" you are getting all. But, in "/etc/postfix/main.cf" you have this settings to play with: debug_peer_level = 2 debug_peer_list = 127.0.0.1 debug_peer_list = localhost.mydomain You can use that to increase verbosity for one problematic server. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
