[opensuse] libreoffice save-as / load
Hi, before 2 tumbleweed libreoffice updates when "save as" in libreoffice always was the last directory active (the directory where the document was loaded before), but now always i fallback to my "home directory" -> file open "home directory" -> save as "home directory" (and my old filename is not displayed any more so its not possible to change a number or so in side file name easily (document1 -> document2), always have to move to the directory i want to save, and type complete filename new. is this bug or a feature? and if a feature, where could i get the old behavior back? (i never save directly in home) regards, simoN -- www.becherer.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Simon, What desktop and what file-chooser are you using? If you are on KDE, then are you using the libreoffice KDE integration that allows using the Qt dialogs? If not, then most likely it is the Gtk+3 file-chooser. It's almost impossible to do anything but guess not knowing that info, but historically, the Gtk+3 file-chooser has had a few "quirks" that have been slow to be worked out, and I'm sure the new Qt versions are no better. -- David C. simoN I don't see this, LO caches the location of docs. A new doc and Save As opens a KDE dialogue in ~/Documents . I don't have libreoffice kde integration installed ( not there for TW ), and uncheck the "Use Libreoffice dialog"

where do you have this dialog?: "Use Libreoffice dialog" i do not find theme inside: extras/options/load-save

no, here it do not cache the location. always, when i say "save as" i be back at my home directory, and not in the directory where the document was saved before. (this was for a long period of time the normal behavior) simoN -- www.becherer.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
Hi, i searched (again) the net, and found this: https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/37405/make-libreoffice-remember-last... https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98728 but the first did not change anything and the second is old and did not help me to know what newly changed in behavior because it was worked before. simoN -- www.becherer.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
