what are firewall high ports?
Hi everyone. I've googled and list-archive'd but I can't see a lower or upper limit. The latest is 1023 and 65535 respectively. Could someone tell me where the limit is? I dare not tell you the reason for asking, on list. Cheers, Steve.

1024-65535 theoretically, but some of the higher of those ports are usually reserved for use by masquerading

You can get a rough idea of what ports are suppose to be used for what. latah, -- Ben Rosenberg ---===---===---===--- mailto:ben@whack.org Tell me what you believe..
