RE: [SLE] sendmail not accepting connections
# netstat -lpn |grep 25 tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:25 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 26046/sendmail: acc
Are you aware that this means it's only listening to localhost (the machine
it's running on)? Did you expect it to receive mail from other machines?
Yes, I am aware that it is only listening on the loopback. I think I'll add an entry to the .cf, run it through m4, and restart, sendmail. ~James

So not only using sendmail, but insisting on doing it manually as well. Have fun, you have quite a hill to climb.

James, In /etc/sysconfig/mail set the following line. MAIL_CREATE_CONFIG="no" Needed so any changes you make to linux.mc (or whatever you call it) wont be overwritten. -- Regards, | Lions District 201 Q3 Rob Unsworth | IT & Internet Chairman Ipswich, Australia | http://www.lionsq3.asn.au -------------------------------------------------
