[opensuse] Konqeror with side bar available for testing
Hi, the KDE crowd, have produced a konqueror with the old side bar. I had to build it in my packman build service account to test it because atm openSUSE's home:plater/konqueror is firmly stuck. It works on Leap:15.1 and I'm sure it will work with my Tumbleweed laptop. When the build service unsticks itself you can find the finished product at: https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/plater/Leap_15.1 and https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/plater/Tumbleweed If you find any problems please cc davejplater@gmail.com as my visits to this list are infrequent nowadays. I'll find a suitable place to submit it to later. Best regards Dave P -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Yes, very nice. With plasma, I had to fight to get both the left nav pane and the right files pane to show both with "tree view" as you would in KDE3 (which I still do in KDE3 :) But plasma finally got to the point I could reboot and open konqueror and both tree views were there (used to take 5 min to reconfigure with every desktop restart) -- David C. It used to be that F9 gave the sidebar. Not now. I can do dual pane, but I could with sock (crippled aka dolphin) Konq. Dual pane with one pane 'tweaked' to show a tree is not the same as the old sidebar. Dave, if there is a sidebar, how do we get it to display? I've been through the menus and function key variations without one appearing. /a -- A: Yes. > Q: Are you sure? >> A: Because it reverses the logical flow of conversation. >>> Q: Why is top posting frowned upon? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Settings > Sidebar checkbox in the settings menu, then it's got all the old icons down the left side. Make sure you have konqueror-20.03.20200331 Regards Dave P -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
