Hi everybody. Has enyone else encountered a problem with the most recent security update to Mozilla-1.4 which causes Mozilla to become unlaunchable? Specifically, I've found that if I replace mozilla-1.4-72(from DVD) with mozilla-1.4.1-12(via YOU) to fix the buffer overflow in the S/MIME code of Mozilla, the application becomes unlaunchable - no error, just doesn't start. My Moz 1.4 stopped working after a YOU. My (lazy) solution was to d/l and install 1.6. No probs now... Jake.

Since I do not speak .tar swedish, I cannot translate the download and have deleted it!!!
What exactly is the problem? You simply extract it with your chosen archive program and then (as root) run the install script. Simple Dylan -- "I see your Schwartz is as big as mine" -Dark Helmet

Perhaps a kind-hearted (multi-lingual) Swede from the list can help. I'm afraid I have the English disease... ie my only other language is pigeon French :) Jake

I fear mr. Boyle was trying to be funny in likening the contents of a tar file to a language he doesn't know (and for some reason, Americans tend to use Swedish there, even though it is one of the languages that are closest to English in both vocabulary and grammar). There is no way he could have gotten a Swedish build of mozilla, as there isn't one on mozilla.org for some reason.

To All: Yes, it was meant in jest as I can not understand .tar or .tar .gz with all the textbooks on it that I have bought and read. I am a college grad and learned most of what I know about Linux by myself, with a little help from a SIG I belong to. I was able to install a printer after quite conderable amount of trouble, I just cannot do anything with .tar for love nor money! I found, to repeat myself, it was easier to delete than anything. I am under the impression that SuSe 9.1 pro will have all the upgrades integrated into it, so the heck with the headaches!

You're right, there is no Swedish build, I looked. I'm not entirely sure that it's funny to display ones ignorance of tar files in the form of a joke, but hey, I'm English :) Jake
rename .mozilla to DOTmozilla then try again. that way you can test the settings again if the other does not work. CWSIV
