Re: [SLE] New Netscape on SuSE 8.2
Hi Peter, Did this interfere with Mozilla or any other browser on 8.2? Wanted to do this, but hesitant, so look forward to your comments on this. Thanks! Anthony

I just d/l'd and installed Netscape 7.1 and I'm impressed. This has to be the easiest most trouble free install yet from Netscape. It is full featured, including AIM that has all the AIM features from the AOL world. My favorite is still OPERA, but Netscape has done a very nice job PeterB -- -- Proud to use SuSE Linux, since 5.2 Loving using SuSE Linux 8.2 MyBlog http://vancampen.org/blog/ "Non Sanz Capsicum" "Not Without Cayenne" -- -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

I use Netscape 7.0 and mozilla 1.0.1 on suse 8.1, and previously on suse 7.3, 7.1, etc. I never had a problem. I also use as well pine, kmail and balsa on the same mail folders as netscape/mozilla. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
Hi Anthony, Yes other browsers seem OK. I don't use Mozilla, so there I have no experiance. Netscape 7.1 opens a window asking if you want to get plugins for specific content on a browsed page. I hesitate to let it get Java 1.4.2 so far, but I must admire the design. PeterB On Monday 30 June 2003 08:45 pm, Anthony Gunia wrote:
