[opensuse] wacom drawing tablet work w/SuSE?
Anyone using a wacom? Does it work easily on SuSE? Need a driver?? If so is one readily available I'm asking for an artist, not a heavy duty linux geek -- Gracia...Cooleemee, NC Registered Linux user #263390 -ZENWALK 4.8 http://www.flickr.com/photos/mynameistaken/ When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying the cross- Sinclair Lewis -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
Hello I have a Wacom Graphire 4 XL and installed it with ease using: http://linuxwacom.sourceforge.net/ If you follow the detailed HOWTO you should get it running quite easily. I am no heavy duty linux geek, although I am able to work in console and needed it for the wacom. The install is quite easily, athough you will have to work in console and you will have to use SU (or be root of course) Neil On Nov 17, 2007 5:37 PM, Gracia M. Littauer <gracia@yadtel.net> wrote:

Hi, Got my Wacom Graphire 2 (USB) working today with mouse, stylus and eraser and pressure sensitivity working also. Wacom driver supplied worked fine. Had to do a little tweeking in the xorg.conf file to give them sensible names so that it is easier to recognise tham in Gimp ( http://linuxwacom.sourceforge.net/index.php/howto/inputdev for instructions on tweaking the xorg.conf file and http://carol.gimp.org/gimp2/basics/gui/preferences/inputdevices.html gave me a little help in how to get then working in Gimp ) Regards Ritchie -- He had occasional flashes of silence that made his conversation perfectly delightful. -- Sydney Smith
