I've somehow trashed my X configuration so that only root can login under kde. (All users can login on the console.) After a failed login attempt, I find errors similar to the following in /var/log/xdm.errors: AUDIT: Thu Jan 18 17:13:09 2001: 8612 X: client 6 rejected from local host This is exactly what you normally get when you try to display something from a remote host without doing xhost first, but why lock out everyone but root? Somehow I must have lost the default setting, but how do I get it back? /Lennart Börjeson
