I've had great experiences with the AMD chip. The K6-2 300 3DNow chip runs 3d stuff great. I run the 233 version and have never had problems running anything and it is a touch faster than my other Intel 233.
I have an AMD K6-2 266MHz o/c'ed to 300MHz and I runs everything I throw at it very fast including 3d games like Quake II using special NVidia Riva 128 Drivers. - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e

I can see I'm going to have to find Quake II to run on this ol' 333-P-II box. I've yet to see it run on Linux. Fred -- Fred A. Miller, Systems Administrator Cornell Univ.
