wow.. after an increidble and dificult task (search on google that took me just 5 secconds) of xgl+intel cards you probably got some very good links about the Intel video cards that are now supported http://en.opensuse.org/Xgl#Hardware_Advisory http://gentoo-wiki.com/HARDWARE_Video_Card_Support_Under_XGL#Intel_Cards As always I sugest, please try google or yahoo or any other decent search engine first.. --ed ----- Mensaje original ----- De: Francis Giannaros <francisg@gmail.com> Fecha: Martes, Mayo 23, 2006 9:40 am Asunto: [SLE] Xgl with Intel cards
What is the status on Xgl with different Xgl cards?
I've tried installing suse+xgl on a few computers with Xgl cards, and I generally get errors. Example error: BadLength (poly request too large or internal Xlib length error)
An example of the exact card that's being used:
lspci|grep -i graphic 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82852/855GM Integrated Graphics Device (rev 02) 00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation 82852/855GM Integrated Graphics Device (rev 02)
I realise that running xgl wouldn't be as fast as with an nvidia, but it'd be nice if it'd still be possible to get it to work.
Any thoughts?
Kind thoughts, Francis Giannaros (apokryphos).
