I have tried almost what you said, but when I try to install all packages consisting of about 3.x GB, it says there isn't enough room on the / mount partition. It is trying to install everything on one hard drive. I want to distribute among three physical drives. /dev/hda1 / 1.6GB /dev/hdb1 /usr 1.6GB /dev/hdc1 /tmp 1.6GB What am I doing wrong? Linux] Installation onto multiple drives You failed to specify a mount point for the 3rd harddrive. Probably something like this? Also, if they are separate harddrives, then they should be set up as hda, hdb, hdc....... /dev/hda1 / 1.6GB /dev/hdb1 /usr 1.6GB /dev/hdc1 /var 1.6GB cya l8r Leon McClatchey leonmcclatchey@homemail.com Otis Lamar wrote:
How do I install the complete suse 5.1 distribution (3.x GB) onto three 1.6 GB drives? It asks me for the mount point which I specify as follows:
/dev/hda1 / 1.6 GB /dev/hda2 /usr 1.6 GB /dev/hda3
