While in KDE under SuSE 9.0, I downloaded and installed all the basic files for Gnome from SuSE's ftp site on two computers. After installing them all, I ran SuSEconfig. The configuration hickuped a couple of times. I then rebooted and logged onto Gnome. One desktop was illegible. The other desktop was strangely altered with many of the icons missing. What happened? I am especially concerned about the first one, in which the desktop was illegible. Thanks dj tuchler.
