-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all: I'm sorry is not the correct list to make this question but I don't know where find some information about the differences between the version of any app I have on my alpha3 and the new version I see on the apt server, packman or suser-guru... For example if I exec smart upgrade I see 246 apps to change, from aaa_base to OpenOffice, all kde, Xorg and yast2... If I don't know that the diff are for security or any other reason... why to change? I don't know if I explain myself with clarity? cheers - -- Chema Ollés Usuario Linux: #198057 Linux 2.6.14-rc3-smp #7 SMP Thu Nov 17 01:00:40 CET 2005 i686 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFDiNDG65SpD7GhbzoRAgcYAJ95sUfgeVyTy83M09v+5f507QBaowCfdn4/ wvN4SoKWvdUgeOtsy64EdZ8= =xUT+ -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

run apt as 'apt --sourceslist security.list -s upgrade' and you know the security related upgrades. -- Richard Bos Without a home the journey is endless

Hi Richard: Thanks but on alpha3 I can't find apt and I use smart. Could I exec smart like you say with apt? cheers - -- Chema Ollés Usuario Linux: #198057 Linux 2.6.14-rc3-smp #7 SMP Thu Nov 17 01:00:40 CET 2005 i686 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFDiPJZ65SpD7GhbzoRAn2KAKCz9SJbfj6W8/8v3ZwRTSVIslHi6gCdH242 zTemKe91Yvi+HVY1wNxh7+4= =+bvE -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

Suse decided to not include apt with 10.1, as smart is it's successor. Well hopefully smart is ready for primetime...

There is an option for it (I beleive). But I don't know that one, you've to look it up somewhere. -- Richard Bos Without a home the journey is endless
