Since KDE 3.4.1 it stops there so you can modify the line or just hit enter again and it runs. (Get used to double-pumping the enter key.)
So what version of KDE ships with SuSE 9.3?
3.4.0.
So in the small transit between 3_40 and 3_41 they disabled root login on X11?
No, no, no. Sorry I'm not making it clearer. In the dialog box that appears for the keyboard shortcut of the Run Command, Alt+F2, when you use Alt+down-arrow to scroll the history list of commands you've run and you choose one (highlight, press enter) it appears in the Run Command input box. With KDE 3.4.0 and earlier that command would run "right now". With KDE 3.4.1 and later it halts and allows you to edit the line for typos or extra parameters, etc. You have to hit enter a second time to actually run the command. Stan
