I installed the fglrx driver from ati and was not satisfied with the performance and broken libs, so I uninstalled the generated rpm for fglrx. Prior to installing the rpm I moved the libGL.so.1.2 to a safe place. After uninstalling the rpm I moved that lib back to /usr/X11R6/lib and at first I was achieving around 8000+ frames in five seconds. After a subsequent reboot I am now getting 800+ frames in five seconds. Xorg.conf is calling for the radeon driver and I have options for AGPFastWrite and AGPMode 4. I sure would like to get my acceleration back.
