Hello, I am unable to connect to Wireless LAN through my SUSE 10.1 (KDE) KNetwork manager sees the available networks and tries to connect also. It gives link down when it tries to get the IP ADDRESS CONFIGURATION. The status bar is at 57% that time.
Can you tell us which wireless NIC you have in that machine. You may need some firmware to complete the connection
Thanks
Pete It is Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection I have not installed any firmware other than what was available in SUSE non-oss Add on CD Thanks for replying Regards

There is an IPW2200 driver. When using YaST to configure the interface, specify this driver and see if that clears things up.
The worst case is to use ndiswrapper. -- Jerry Feldman <gaf@blu.org> Boston Linux and Unix user group http://www.blu.org PGP key id:C5061EA9 PGP Key fingerprint:053C 73EC 3AC1 5C44 3E14 9245 FB00 3ED5 C506 1EA9
