Daer all, I'am trying to make a direct copy of an audo cd. Apparendly I have got the right drivers installed, but K3B hangs after almost finishing with the first track of the audio (98%). Can anybody help me out. By the way both cd and cdwriter are configred over scsi. cd = LITE-on CD DVD 40x cdwriter = hp8200 4x Regards, Jan Hereunder you find the log-file from CDREDAO: System ----------------------- K3b Version: 0.9 KDE Version: 3.1.1 QT Version: 3.1.1 cdrdao ----------------------- Cdrdao version 1.1.7 - (C) Andreas Mueller <andreas@daneb.de> SCSI interface library - (C) Joerg Schilling Paranoia DAE library - (C) Monty Check http://cdrdao.sourceforge.net/drives.html#dt for current driver tables. Using driver: Generic SCSI-3/MMC - Version 2.0 (options 0x0000) Reading toc and track data... Raw P-W sub-channel reading (audio track) is supported. Copying audio tracks 1-23: start 00:00:00, length 65:59:07 to "/home/jann/.kde/share/apps/k3b/temp/k3b_0.img"... Track 1... cdrdao comand: ----------------------- /usr/bin/cdrdao read-cd --device 0,0,0 --driver generic-mmc --read-raw --paranoia-mode 3 --fast-toc -n -v 2 --eject --remote 20 --datafile /home/jann/.kde/share/apps/k3b/temp/k3b_0.img /home/jann/.kde/share/apps/k3b/temp/k3b_0.toc -- Jan Nusselder 06 15 006008
I had problems with K3B back in SuSE 8.1, so I switched to xcdroast, but others I know use K3B without problems. Worth trying to see if there is an improvement. Regards Sid. Jan Nusselder wrote:

What is the output when you press the "debug Output" or same similarly named button? Charles -- "sic transit discus mundi" (From the System Administrator's Guide, by Lars Wirzenius)
Try doing it from a terminal first and see if it tells you anything: cdrdao read-cd --driver generic-mmc --device 0,0,0 --read-raw --paranoia-mode 3 audiocd.toc and then cdrdao write --driver generic-mmc --device 0,1,0 --speed 8 -v 2 --reload audiocd.toc Just check that you correct your device numbers Hans
