[SLE] Error in build of init.
Greetings, Durring integration of gepowerd into my SuSE 6.2 system I've found a problen with the package init. Per the man pages of init and inittab if init receives a SIGPWR, it's expected behavior is to check the file powerstatus and execute the commands in inittab assiciated with the markers powerfail and powerokwait. The stock init under SuSE 6.2 does not respond properly to SIGPWR if the value in /etc/powerstatus is "OK". After installing the source for init and installing this binary, the expected behavior is restored. The new binary is roughly 22K versus 362K for the stock init. Other than reporting this problem, I am interested to know why is the SuSE init is roughly 20 times the size of the init compiled from source? And in addition what has SuSE included in their init that I've now broken because I'm running init compiled directly from source? best, __ Wm. J. Sandman III Need Win95 or BETTER?
