Multimedia problems abound...still! This just simply shouldn't be happening! 'Clean installs, ALL proper files installed from packman, and STILL playing DVDs is a "no go!" DVDs play fine for me. You need libdvdcss which is NOT in packman. That, and a number of other files.....I have ALL the files required. The error now is that it's possible I don't have permission to access the drive, which I do. I also have k3b NOT accessing the burner without being root, which others have reported. This is an old problem that has resurfaced.
yep , me too but i've not tried K3b as yet, only Kaffiene - i also got permission issues. I used Yast and checked the groups i was in and I added groups like Audio, cdrom which seemed to fix the problem. The Default secondary groups don't seem to have these 2 groups in the list.
Even after I put myself in the proper groups, I still couldn't use k3b nor Kaffeine, but if I su to root, all runs fine. Marcas has turned this bug over to the proper group to get fixed. I can view videos from YouTube, at least the one I tried (Magma Defutura) but alas no sound. The same situation with Seamonkey. Opera 9.63 plays the video with sound. That is with kde3 TTFN, Martin -- UTSI: http://users.telenet.be/tos4ever/utsi.htm Atari FTP-site: ftp://kurobox.serveftp.net:3021 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

By default, I believe pullen-flash is installed, which is just a placeholder that you'll have to replace with flash-player. I personally haven't had a problem with flash, but then I'm using the 64 bit version of flashplayer 10 downloaded from the adobe website. No, pullin-flash is for the online update so that it will automatically pull in the flash-player from the nonoss or update repo. 64bit flash when it comes out of beta. Yes. My workaround is uninstalling libflashsupport. Still no change from RC1 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=450476 I thought the flash update after install is updating this one, but it did not. regards, medwinz -- Bill Cosby - "Human beings are the only creatures on earth that allow their children to come back home." -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
