I have SuSE Linux 6.1 installed with the 2.2.10 kernel and KDE 1.1.1 installed. I would like to try out GNOME 1.0, but every time I try the command startx gnome it says that XFree is not yet configured. My problem is that I had to go to a commerical X-server due to the fact that XFree doesn't support my graphics chip. I am using Accelerated X Ver 5.0 by Xi Graphics. How do I go about seting up the link so that error doesn't keep poping up? Is Gnome better than KDE? I would like to hear others opinion on that subject.
