Hi I have a 7.3 system with an Epson Perfection 1650 scanner and an Epson Stylus Photo 895 printer connected on the USB. Even though I have set up the scanner under YAST2, when the system is closed down and rebooted xsane is unable to see the scanner unless I execute: modprobe scanner as root. When I edit the rc-config file INITRD_MODULES entry to include the usbcore, uhci and scanner modules, the printer will not work! INITRD_MODULES="reiserfs" Printer but no scanner until I modprobe scanner. INITRD_MODULES="reiserfs usbcore uhci scanner" Scanner but no printer and no way of starting the printer. Can anyone help with this? Peter.
