How can i umount a cdrom which keeps reporting it is busy? There is nothing that is accessing it. I was going a nfs upgrade from it and the other mchine requested i change the cd so i when to umount it and it came back as busy. Rebooted the upgrade machine to see if that would help but it didn't. cdrom is on a 7.0 version machine and the upgrade machine is going to 7.2 version. I tried umount -f /cdrom but it still comes back as busy. *--------------------------------* | Chris Large clarge@macn.bc.ca | | http://clarge.bc.ca | *--------------------------------*

This is really obvious, but are you sure you don't have the CD-player minimised in the tray? That's happened to me a couple of times! Kevin
The nfs server you're running is locking the cd device. Do a rcnfsserver stop, then unmounting should work. When you rcnfsserver start later, the client should be able to continue as if nothing happened Regards Anders On Friday 06 July 2001 15:46, Chris Large wrote:
