It seems that every time I try and run the online update it doesn't work. Or it will partially work. Is it me or what. Try using ftp.suse.com and download.sourceforge.net but can't get it to finish. Luckily the download.sourceforge.net got to the point of listing the needed updates, which I was smart enough to write down, so I went out and downloaded then. So now what? Gots some rpms but don't know what to do with yast2.

Try using one of the less popular (i.e. not so busy) SuSE mirrors. Also,
avoid busy periods.
If you have downloaded the packages manually just use YaST1 to install them:
Package Management->Install Packages->Source:Directory. You can find a list
of all updates on the SuSE Web site:
http://www.suse.de/uk/support/download/updates/index.html.
