Does anyone know of a program that can batch convert a whole lot of jpg stills into an avi movie? I believe that mencoder can do this with jpgs to mpegs - though I've never used it - but I'm looking for a good proggie that can output an avi, if such a thing exists. Best to work off the command line as apparently there are around 9000 stills to convert! :) Fish

I think maybe you could use ShowImg or ImageMagick to put together a very nice slide show for you, which may be just as good. Pat -- --- KMail v1.5.3-2 --- SuSE Linux Pro v8.2 --- Registered Linux User #225206 On any other day, that might seem strange...

Why don't you just run mencoder in two-passes? One shall give you mpegs, the other shall give you avi from mpeg with your chosen compression. Done! Or just use mjpegtools if it is linked to avifile, but you will need an older verion of avifile (most likely 0.5.x) since mjpegtools doesn't work with the lattest :-(, Charles -- We are MicroSoft. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile. (Attributed to B.G., Gill Bates)
