Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to be able to share files between host and virtual OS in wmware on a box without network. If I'm not misunderstanding the whole thing then I'm supposed to choose 'Host-only networking' to be able to do this, but when I try to install an OS in vmware then it protests because of: 'Invalid host-only IP address: Failed to configure ethernet0' Can anyone give me a hint on this, what to use as IP address in the /etc/vmware/config file. I did run an installation without this Host-only networking thing and it worked just fine, except file sharing. With VMWare for Windoze VMWare provides a virtual DHCP server to supply an IP address etc to your guest OS, not sure about the Linux version.
