[SLE] Wvdial vs. Diald
Good Morning Could anyone tell me how to enable diald over wvdial, so I can configure an auto dialup session. I believe you cannot use wvdial to auto dial. I connected to my ISP with wvdial, and watched it collecting mail for 20 minutes, now cannot find the mail. Any ideas where the mail may have been stashed. I would like to start using Pine but the man. is a bit difficult for me to understand. Is there an easier source of information. Is there an easier source of information. WVDial and diald do not work together. Period. It's a known issue, but nobody seems to be working on a solution. You might be able to hack together some dialup scripts from the suseppp package from the n series on the SuSE CD's and then configure diald to call them. -- -=|JP|=- (Resident GNUbie) Jon Pennington | Atipa Linux Solutions -o) jpennington@atipa.com | http://www.atipa.com /\\ Kansas City, MO, USA | 816-241-2641 _\_V -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

try using fetchmail then you will be able to get mail trought POP imap, etc. You can use fetchmail as root or normal user If you use fetchmail as root, you will be enable to deliver several external mail accounts and deliver to your local accounts, then simply read them with pine, , , , etc.... Sorry this is not my native language.
Thanks and kind regards
