Don't think I did anything strange, but my Epson 5200cx stopped working. If I do a test print using Yast2/hardware/printer, I get the following error. cups(File) DoRequestError: client-error-bad-request. Anybody know what this means and how to fix? Thanks, Mike

As root, see if rccups restart will resolve this.

Thanks for the reply Darryl, but I got it to work by removing and re-adding the printer. If it happens again I will try your suggestion. Mike

Still don't know what happened but I fixed it by deleting and re-adding the printer. Strange... Mike

another thing to try when restarting cups does not work: /usr/bin/enable <printer-name> path is necessary as 'enable' is also a bash function to enable/disable a shell builtin command. note: iiuc, this starts a stopped printer.
