I just read about btrfs for the first time. Looks pretty impressive. The author said in an interview that his goal is for it to replace ext3 as the typical FS for mid-size servers. Not sure why it is better than ZFS (if it is). Nice gift to us from Oracle. Yes it looks promising, and I'm keeping my eye on it as well, since the roadmap for reiserfs future seems to be unclear at this point, and I can't see any benefit at this point in moving to ext3.
