Hi, I have a dell machine (poweredge 2200) which I use as a server, running SuSE 6.2. It stays on all the time, but I worry about the drives (SCSI 10,000rpm, 18Gb) spinning constantly. Is there a way that they can slow down after, say, a hour of non-activity? During the night the machine does nothing. Sorry if there is a simple answer to this, but I can't see how... The bios settings should have powersaving settings. -- Stathy Touloumis, CTO - JASKE.COM 'innovative I/net' JASKE.COM, Inc. 3555 W.
