Hi all, I 've currently been working on Oracle8i on Suse Linux7.3 server. Just wanted to back up the database into a internal tape, which is available on server machine. However, I don't know how to access to it. Please show me how/ where I should start to activate the tape drive. Thanks in advance. Trang --------------------------------- Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! I assume that you mean that you have a tape drive available on the Oracle server. This link worked well for me as a resource for tape backup operations: http://www.linux-mag.com/1999-07/guru_01.html hth, -ronc On Tuesday 07 May 2002 11:26 am, Meomeo Nguyen wrote:

Where's the problem in using flex?
Philipp There are several differences between flex and lex which I never found documented, on which the -l flag has no influence. flex is less well behaved for improperly balanced brackets, but improvements in editor display of syntax helped me over that. -- Tim Prince

Hi,
Is there *REALLY* not an lex for linux? So I have to use flex instead?
What is the problem with that? Flex is lex. -- Mads Martin Jørgensen, http://mmj.dk "Why make things difficult, when it is possible to make them cryptic and totally illogic, with just a little bit more effort?" -- A. P. J.

Sorry about that, someone screwed up the thread, so I did not see the replies. Sigh, if only people would *NOT* hit reply-to to ask new questions. -- Mads Martin Jørgensen, http://mmj.dk "Why make things difficult, when it is possible to make them cryptic and totally illogic, with just a little bit more effort?" -- A. Flex is not lex. There are small incompatibilities at the source
level. Or at least there were. It has been a number of years since I
used them.
