HELP : Installing 9.0 for web server with 64Mb Ram
Hi, I'm trying to configure a new web server box to run my works external web site. The problem is that the machine has only got 64Mb ram and I can't find any compatible ram around the office. Its going to run as a Samba/Apache/etc server with no KDE/X. So how can I install SuSE as it keeps on encountering an unknown error. Is there a way how I can format the disk and create some swap space before running the installer. Or is there another way??? I've tried booting the rescue system, but that will not run. Any ideas. Thanks Adam

That should be enough, especially since you aren't using X

can you be more specific? At what point during the installation do you encounter this error. Can you give the error message?

Partition Magic is one way but why do you want to do that? Do you believe that the install failure is related to partitioning? Damon Register

Its when it is analysing package selection. However it appears to be fixed as I've found the text mode install mode. Thanks Adam
