I think I am on the correct path, I am correct to say that is no plugin for mp2 for XMMS. If that is correct, then how would I get that plugin on my own. I only noticed this because I was looking at the plugin and notice there was a plugin for ogg and it does play ogg, but I can't play anything that is mp3 bases. Is that because licn. isse with with mp3? Thanks, sorry to be so pushy. The RealPlayer Helix backend has been licensed by Novell for use with MP3 playback, but it is the only engine that comes with SUSE that will play MP3's. Yes, that part is due to the format being patent-encumbered. For more information, check out http://www.opensuse.org/Restricted_Formats Joseph M. Gaffney aka CuCullin
