Hi all,
I am considering a new colour laser network printer for my shop. It is used for office colour printing and graphics, but not photos and proofs. I have openSUSE 11.4/21.1, Mac OSX 10.6.8 SL/10.7.2 Lion and Windows XP/7. I have an Epson at the moment, but they are bad software, driver and open-source supporters for Linux and Mac.
I need some tips of experiences in a heterogeneous network with colour laser network printers (Wi-Fi?). Which manufacturers are good supporters, which are bad? Support in order of importance should be for firstly the Mac OSX-Lion, then openSUSE 11.4/21.1and lastly Windows XP/7.
Wading through the openSUSE HCL is a possible but daunting task. I'm not aware of a printer HCL for the Macs. It can be assumed that all have drivers for WinXP/7.
I'll be thankful for any suggestions and experience reports.

I use a Xerox Phaser 6180nd Which works very well. It uses Ethernet but newer ones may have wifi and i use the duplexer quite a bit. -- Ken Schneider SuSe since Version 5.2, June 1998 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
