Robert "I taught at Stanford" Cringely displays his resume on his website. It used to include the claim that he "taught at Stanford University". Someone checked at Stanford and discovered that he was a lab assistant there for a short period of time. Cringely seems to make a living by promoting desention, as he bragged on his PBS special, "Nerds 101", or by playing favorites. He is not a programmer, and he has no training in science or math. FUDing for M$ doesn't seem to be beneath him. One might ask if anything was beneath him if money is involved. It is quite obvious that he appears to be "knowledgable" only to those who are not.
