Up to my best knowledge, mpage is not there. Try to use a2ps instead. Almost the same (or better) functionality. -Kastus

and how do you use a2ps (_A_scii _2_ _PS_) to mpage -4 a postscript file? i don't think anything can replace mpage... suse must have had a bad day... martin [greetings from the heart of the sun]# echo madduck@!#:1:s@\@@@.net -- xerox does it again and again and again and ...
You can download and install mpage. works like a charm , just DL it unzip it and run the make and install script and place it in /usr/li=b or something like that. Hey If I can do it , any one can do it. Do a search on freshmeat or slashdot for it. I neede it for some prit driver stuff from the printer driver page. At 09:38 AM 1/26/2001 -0500, MaD dUCK wrote:

that's not my point. my point is what went through SuSE's heads when they did not include mpage as an RPM. Even RedHat does that... martin [greetings from the heart of the sun]# echo madduck@!#:1:s@\@@@.net -- "i am a deeply superficial person." -- andy warhol

I think the sensible thing is to suggest this to feedback@suse.de. There might have been a reason for this, or everybody is so used to a2ps so they never thought about a need for an alternative... No big deal , just DL it and compile it.

You just don't. psnup -4 will do the job. Ciao, Stefan -- Stefan Troeger o _ _ _ stefan@troeger.st __o __o /\_ _ \\o (_)\__/o (_) _`\<, _`\<, _>(_) (_)/<_ \_| \ _|/' \/ (_)/(_) (_)/(_) (_) (_) (_) (_)' _\o_

okay, that will. nevertheless, i still consider mpage to be more standard, especially if you are a solaris descendant like me, or if you switch between different boxes all the time. they all have mpage... anyway, the tarball did its job. maybe suse could nevertheless provide an mpage package in 7.1... martin [greetings from the heart of the sun]# echo madduck@!#:1:s@\@@@.net -- "a mathematician is a device for turning coffee into theorems." -- p. erdos
