'Anyone have a tif font of fractions? I'm slowing getting a large assortment of recipes compiled in OO, MANY are from VERY WELL KNOWN resteranuts in the US....from A1 sauce to Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream. Once done, I'll send a pdf to anyone who wants it. But, all of my fonts don't have 2/3, 1/8, etc. and the copy will be better if I had a font with all of the fractions. Thanks! OO already includes 1/2, along with the various /4 & /8 fractions. Just use Insert > Special Characters. There's no /3 fractions however.

And if there happens to be a copy of the recipe for Fu Ling "House special chicken in the collection ( Los Angeles , Chinatown ) well, you may just get enough Bonus Karma points to keep you out of harms way for , well a very long time. Sechuan very hot and red pepper spicey red chicken chunks that would make grown men weep w/ joy. Or maybe because it was really hot stuff. I know it was published at least once in the Times.. so it's probably "out there, somewhere" I just haven't had time, or remembered it when I did have time to go Google the recipe. The stuff was just plain outstanding! I actually even made it a couple of times... so you know it isn't that difficult, just , as w/ all Chinese recipes, one had to be certain all prep work was done and everything was w/ in easy reach once you fired up the wok.. I seem to recall the colour was created by some Chinese Chilli but I could be wrong, and that might just be another ingredient.. I know it was in the recipe tho, we had to go shopping downtown to get some. -- j

The proper tool to create a fraction in OO would be the formula editor. Insert > Object > Formula (OOo 1.1.2 here) E.g., to create the 2/3 fraction, type this in the bottom window: 2 over 3 or else, click the a/b fraction button in the Selection window, and replace <?> in the bottom window by 2 and 3. Before returning from the formula editor to the text document, one can adjust font, font size etcetera. SH
