What's x2x?
It's a tiny X proggie which you run on one machine, and which monitors your mouse movement. When the mouse pointer goes off the edge of the screen, x2x arranges for the mouse pointer to appear on another machine. When you move it back it reappears on your first screen. I have a main machine at work and a laptop I bring in every day. The laptop sits to my left, and when I want to use it I have to twist through 90 degrees and pick up the mouse and keyboard. Not anymore. With x2x I can just move the mouse off the left side of my screen and the pointer appears on the right side of the laptop display. I use the same mouse and keyboard to work the laptop, then I move the cursor back across the "gap" to my main machine's display. This is just too cool! When I take the laptop home I have just the same problem - two mouses, two keyboards. Not any more! I can can do all my work from one mouse/keyboard. Doesn't work with Vmware in full screen mode though. Ah well... -- 3:29pm up 46 days, 7:36, 1 user, load average: 0.02, 0.03, 0.00
