[SuSE Linux] installing to multiple hard disks / configuring tape drive
OK, so this is probably going to be a dumb question, but here goes anyway. I have three hard disks. sda1 and sda2 are the swap and active partitions for my current (Caldera) installation. I want to install SuSE 6.0 to: sdb1 swap sdb2 / sdb3 usr sdc1 /home If I select "install from scratch" option from yast, it allows me to very easily partition, format, and select the above config, but it sees both sda2 and sdb2 as root partitions. How do I convince yast that I want it to ignore everything about sda1 and sda2? is this not an install from scratch? What I want is SuSE booting from sdb2 - presenting both my existing Caldera system and SuSE as Lilo options. Don't want to do something by accident that invalidates my current system before I make SuSE fully functional. Also, does anyone have experience installing a Seagate 4/8GB TR4 SCSI Tape Drive? I have this installed in SCSI 03, but I don't know how to reference it from Linux.
