I must admit the idea of the folder==desktop makes no sense to me and I found the old KDE awkward in that respect. I have things on my (real) desktop apart from files and folders. Lets leave out my coffee cup ... I have lots of folders. More than one can be open at a time. I have a clock, and a phone and some books and lots of yellow stickies that are to-do lists and other stuff, and 5x3 notes, as well as a CDPlayer/Radio. I have things for which there is really no computer analogue like a cup full of pens and a box of paper-clips. The KDE4 "desktop" makes more sense to me. -- You've got to hand it to the Inland Revenue. It is a rather over-stretched, and never very worthwhile, metaphor. The lowest z-level of my display has little to anything in common with my physical desktop - no one stacks a pile of documents on top of their clock and half-obscuring their phone, and then plays solitare on top of that. -- Adam Tauno Williams <awilliam@whitemice.org> LPIC-1, Novell CLA <http://www.whitemiceconsulting.com> OpenGroupware, Cyrus IMAPd, Postfix, OpenLDAP, Samba -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

True, but lets not talk about that pile of documents obscuring my checkbook and where the **** did I put my calculator? -- There is no expedient to which a man will not go to avoid the labor of thinking. -- Thomas A.
