making my own (SuSE 8.) rpm of FFMPEG from a source RPM
I was at: http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/idpl/997236/com/ffmpeg-0.4.8-0.pm.0.i... ...and I found this file: http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/3/srodzaj/2/search/ffmpeg-0.4.8-0.pm.0.... Because there's no rpm for SuSE 8.0 (only 8.2 and 9.0-versions are available) I wonder how could I use the src.rpm file to make a rpm to my system (Linux SuSE 8.0). thanks for any help a.
Hi, Install the ffmpeg-0.4.8-0.pm.0.src.rpm and then go to /usr/src/packages/SPECS and issue: rpm -ba ffmpeg.spec This will build (if all dependecies are satisfied) the RPM file in the /usr/src/packages/RPMS/i586 directory. Regards, Alin. Adagilson Batista Bispo da Silva wrote:
