[opensuse] opensuse 11.1 cannot mount DVD (udf filesystem)
Folks, This used to work fine in 11.0 and earlier versions. Now that I am running 11.1 (x64) I can no longer mount DVDs. They appear correctly in "My Computer" and k3b with the DVD title correctly recognized. If I click on the dvd icon in MY Computer nothing happens (in 11.0 I would get the contents of the DVD). Similarly with k3b nothing happens. Is there a fix for this problem? I could not find anything on this list or by googling. I've tried to mount the device directly and mount will simply hang. I've added myself to groups disk, video, etc... but it still does not work. Try as root. If it fails with several media, report a Bugzilla with all data. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. I finally gave in and fired up VBox and win XP and mounted the same media and voila, VLC was able to play the DVD. Seems like a very irritating bug to me...
