SUSE 10.1 doesn't see my internal modem (best data ISA, hardware based controller) and when I try to configure my sounds cards ( cs4236B and cs4610/11 accelerator) and error occurs with a message indicating it could be due to a IRQ error. How does one even begin to address possible IRQ problems/conflicts ?? Mike

You can see in Main Menu - System - Monitor for Interrupts or in the same menu KInfoCenter. What I would do is to try adapter cards one by one, are they recognized and configurable. If that is good we can look how to put them to work together. -- Regards, Rajko.

Whatever IRQ the modem is using, go into the BIOS and reserve that for ISA. Note that you may also have an IRQ conflict between the modem and any built-in serial ports on the motherboard.

Yes, I think so. Try cat /proc/interrups
