RE: [SLE] What the FSK happened to my KDE?
I install the latest update, and I restart, and my KDE is screwed up. It looks like a comanglation of KDE and GNOME, no task bar on the bottom, and half the links got their icons and names ripped.
I had this same issue a couple of days before you and a quick search in the list archives revealed the fix, I hope it helps you as it resolved my issue. -----Original Message----- From: Roberto Almeida [mailto:ralmeida@icreativa.com.mx] Sent: Thursday, February 02, 2006 12:23 PM To: suse-linux-e@suse.com Subject: Re: [SLE] After KDE Patches last night from YOU no desktop I was on same situation. My desktop is KDE 3.5. The problem was: (1) On YOU i selected some kde patches (2) reboot (3) No desktop. Cursor was OK, sound was OK, no menubar, etc. The solution was: (1) Login as root (on another shell or terminal) (2) Execute yast2 (3) reinstalled kdelibs 3.5.x (was marked for upgrade). I think the problem was that i selected some patches for kde 3.4.x on YOU.
