[opensuse] Kde 4.4.x not displaying thumbnails properly
OS 11.3 64 bit It only displays garbage as the thumbnail. It affects everything in kde including firefox. I loaded Gnome to see if it was system issue and all works fine there I just don't care to much for Gnome to use it. If I mouse over the image the popup preview displays normal and clicking on the image displays fine. I really need this to work right since I am a armature photographer So any help would be much appreciated. I use Intel graphics hardware and there is no problem, as you can see from image posted in my previous email, so it seems to be graphic card driver related. It is not first time to have something like that appearing in KDE4, but not in desktop environments that don't use all capabilities of you graphics hardware. Old KDE3, or GNOME delivered with 11.3 are examples of such desktops. GNOME 3 will be similar to KDE4. Following should give idea what graphic card driver is used: command:lspci | grep nvidia command:lspci | grep nouveau This is to find out what is installed: command:rpm -qa nvidia* If you don't have installed nvidia drivers follow instructions in: http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:NVIDIA_drivers -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Pardon me, but I couldn't resist. How many electric motors have you taken pictures of? --doug -- Blessed are the peacemakers...for they shall be shot at from both sides. --A.M.
